Mannum, Cruise on the Mayflower PW and lunch at the Rowing Club

Members gathered at the CCC Club rooms as planned. Eight motorcycles, Brenton towing the Back-up Trailer, and two cars left promptly at 9:30 am, heading up Cross Roads to the South Eastern Freeway to Crafers. More motorcycles joined at Crafers, and after a quick stop at Balhannah Oval, they proceeded through Mount Torrens and Palmer, arriving at Mannum.

Upon arrival at Mannum, the group parked at Mary Anne Reserve outside the Rowing Clubrooms, reaching right on time at 11:20 am. They boarded the PW Mayflower, greeted by Captain Max and his crew, and set off towards Murray Bridge on the Murray River. The cruise was smooth, with refreshments served, and members enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and scenic views.

Back on land, members enjoyed a meal of salads, sausages, and patties at the Rowing Clubrooms. Conversations flourished during lunch, though some, like the author, abstained from alcohol due to riding restrictions.

Post-lunch, members visited the River Riders Motorcycle Museum, admiring the diverse motorcycle collection. Some members made their way home independently, while others followed the Club Captain back to the city outskirts.

The event ran smoothly and on schedule, thanks to Club Captain Mark Howson's organization. Special thanks to Brenton Giles for managing the Back-up Trailer. The ride was thoroughly enjoyed.

Cheers for now,

Miranda Howson

Tail-end Charlie for the day.
