Hi all,
Well, we had a great start to Motorcycle Ride Week today.
As requested a mixed group of riders on a variety of bikes ranging from a 1956 Vespa to a 1000 cc BMW turned up at 7.30 am (hope that doesn’t catch on!) Included in the group were a good selection of BSAOCSA members -

The preliminaries of registration were ably handled by Russell Hughes assisted by Jeff Cleary –

We all received an excellent “show bag” with all the obligatory items such as lanyards and programs, as well as goodies such as a free magazine. I was truly in awe of the amount of work that had gone into this.
At 8 am as programmed we were led off by Rod Bailey who took us up through Uraidla and thereabouts to our destination – the Balhannah swap meet.

Contrary to predictions the rain held off and a friendly morning was had by all, talking to old friends and acquaintances and looking for that elusive spare part or bargain. The BSAOCSA club tent had been set up earlier and we did good business with President Dave Long and Alison in attendance.
There’s more events this week and our club is leading another ride on Thursday to be led by Jim Nixon. Hope to see you there. J
Kind regards,
Geoff Wood
